Google Nest Hub Max Arrives September 9

Google’s new Nest Hub Max arrives on September 9, folks. That date has now been confirmed by the Google Store, which says to expect their biggest Nest Hub in Australia, United Kingdom, and the US on that date.

To recap, the Nest Hub Max costs $229 and features a 10-inch HD display with built-in Nest Cam, 3″ woofer with stereo speakers, and Google Assistant, like other Google Home products. It’ll do video calls, act as a security camera of sorts, play media (has Chromecast built-in too), and recognize your face to show the information that’s relevant to you. It’s a smart display, just with a big display.

If you’ve been waiting to buy a smart display, mark 9/9/19 on your calendar.

Nest Hub Max is a $229 10″ Smart Display With Built-in Nest Cam, on Sale Later This Year

Google introduced the Nest Hub Max this morning, a smart display featuring a 10″ HD display and Nest Cam built-in.

Think of Hub Max the same as you would the Google Home Hub, which was just rebranded to the Nest Hub. It’s your control center for everything in the smart home, but with Hub Max you’re getting the added benefits of having a Nest Cam built directly into the device.

With the Nest Cam, users can keep an eye on their home while they’re away, do video calls via Duo, plus get detailed schedule information depending on which face the camera recognizes. For example, “when you walk into the kitchen, the Assistant knows to greet you with your calendar, commuting details, the weather, and other information you need to start your day.”

Nest Hub Max launches later this year for $229.

Google’s Nest Hub Max Likely Just Hit the FCC

Google’s Nest Hub Max Likely Just Hit the FCC

A new Google-made “interactive video streaming device” just stopped by the FCC this morning, hours before Google I/O kicks off. What is it? It should be the rumored Nest Hub Max or a Google Home Hub Max.

The device falls under model number H2A. That’s worth noting, since the original Google Home Hub (Google Nest Hub now?) was H1A. See the connection there?

The new Google Hub was tested for WiFi, Bluetooth, and Thread, which is their network protocol for IoT or smart home devices.

I’m guessing we’ll find out very shortly what this device is officially.

Google I/O 2019 kicks off tomorrow, but before that happens, we’re curious what topic you’re most looking forward to this year.

There are some great options, too. From what we expect, Google will announce the new Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, a new beta for Android Q, more Google Stadia details, the Nest Hub Max, and probably more Google Assistant stuff.

Who knows, maybe Google even has a few tricks up its sleeve this year? Google I/O is always a blast.
