Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network went live a week early in parts of Chicago and Minneapolis at the beginning of April. Those are the only two official Verizon 5G markets, though Big Red has said that 30+ cities will get access to their spicy new network throughout 2019. We can tell you what the next 20 are likely to be.
According to a reliable source of ours, the next 20 Verizon 5G cities flagged as “Coming soon!” include San Diego, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Memphis, Detroit, Atlanta, and Washington D.C., and Boston. The full list can be seen below.
- San Diego, CA
- Salt Lake City, UT
- Phoenix, AZ
- Denver, CO
- Des Moines, IA
- Kansas City, MO
- Dallas, TX
- Houston, TX
- Little Rock, AR

- Detroit, MI
- Memphis, TN
- Cincinnati, OH
- Atlanta, GA
- Charlotte, NC

We don’t have specific timing for the launch of each, but with the Galaxy S10 5G going up for pre-order today, don’t be surprised if Verizon makes another announcement that involves this list of markets.
UPDATE: Yep, Verizon announced the new markets this morning.
